Venue: | Rowsley Village Hall |
The Sketching for Fun group has meetings at a regular meeting venue at Rowsley Village Hall between 2.00 and 4.00 on the first Thursday of the month.
The group consisting of 15 members was full for initial meetings but spaces may become available depending on forthcoming attendance numbers.
The group welcomes members of all abilities and aims to encourage a creative response to the sketching of a diverse range of subject matter both indoors and outside in the environment.
A chance to sketch, stop the clock and let your mind turn off all the noise.
A time to enjoy a creative pastime, support each other and draw for the sheer joy of it, whilst gaining a new appreciation of our surroundings by capturing what we see by direct observation.
Drawing from life, the natural world, from urban landscapes to domestic interiors, exploring shape and form, light and shade, scale and proportion by making lines and marks on paper to capture anything from a tree in blossom to a derelict industrial building or a pile of cast aside clothes to a library of books and so much more.
